bronze
traditional or geometric over $100,001
The pool was designed to fit with the different levels of the residence, sloping down the hill. Products were used to keep the look natural, while blending in with a vivid blue of the tiled interior. The spillovers were constructed at two different angles to create interest.
BRONZE
traditional or geometric over $50,000 up to $100,001
Pool had to provide privacy from the river, be a central feature and have a significant visual impact from inside. Pool also was to have sufficient length to allow effective exercise to be gained when swimming laps. The finish around the pool had to blend with other exterior finishes so sandstone with varying textures was used for decks and coping. Black pebble finish in the pool contrasted well.
merit
traditional or geometric over $50,000 up to $100,001
The deep, dark interior of the pool is highlighted by the use of cream travertine tiling surrounds. The black stone spill over/moat was designed to minimise the need for fencing at the front of the pool. The imported rich stone face, gives the area an exotic feel and the simple, sophisticated pavilion at the end of the pool is a space to sit, relax and reflect, as well as a practical solution to connect the height variations.
